One person killed, one person severely injured, and one other person injured near 2528 W BRYN MAWR AVE in West Ridge

A driver was killed and another driver was severely injured after a Tuesday evening turning collision in West Ridge on July 18, 2023 at 5:47 PM.

  • A 2023 Hyundai Palisade was heading northeast while turning left and was hit in the side-left-front. The driver, a 31-year-old man, was uninjured; his airbag did not deploy. One other passenger was uninjured.
  • A 2023 Hyundai Palisade was heading northeast while turning left and was hit in the side-left-front. The police report described the driver, a 31-year-old man, as attempting an improper turn. His airbag did not deploy; he reportedly suffered unspecified injuries. One other passenger was uninjured.

Police were notified at 5:47 PM. This was the 882nd injurious crash reported in July 2023, and the 8,547th injurious crash reported in 2023. It was the 77th fatal crash for 2023.
