The police report attributed the cause of the crash to driving after drinking (no arrest was made); and, secondarily, to driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs (an arrest was made).
A 2007 Chevrolet Malibu was heading north. The police report described the driver, a 32-year-old man, as being under the influence of alcohol. His airbag did not deploy; he reportedly suffered incapacitating injuries. A 32-year-old female passenger was killed; her airbag did not deploy. A 31-year-old female passenger reportedly suffered non-incapacitating injuries; her airbag did not deploy. A 35-year-old female passenger reportedly suffered non-incapacitating injuries; her airbag did not deploy.
An unknown age person (occupant of a non-contact vehicle) was involved in the crash.
