One person killed, and two other people injured near 2904 S ARCHER AVE in Bridgeport

A driver was killed after a Tuesday evening turning collision in Bridgeport on July 27, 2021 at 6:20 PM.

The crash occurred near 2904 S ARCHER AVE, at a four-way intersection. The posted speed limit was 30 mph. There was a traffic light. The weather was clear and the roadway was dry. The police report did not specify a cause for the crash.

There were two motor vehicles involved in the crash:

  • A 2004 Yamaha was heading south. The driver, a 20-year-old man, was wearing a DOT-compliant motorcycle helmet and was totally ejected; he was killed.
  • A 2015 Honda Civic was heading north while turning left and was hit in the front-right-corner.
