One pedestrian killed near 5200 N LAKE SHORE DR NB in Edgewater

A pedestrian was killed after a Wednesday night collision in Edgewater on September 2, 2020 at 11:29 PM.

The crash occurred near 5200 N LAKE SHORE DR NB, on a road divided by a median barrier. The posted speed limit was 40 mph. It was dark but with streetlights, the weather was clear, and the roadway was dry but reportedly had a worn surface. The police report did not specify a cause for the crash.
