One cyclist killed near 1902 S UNION AVE in Lower West Side

A cyclist was killed after a Sunday early morning hit-and-run collision in Lower West Side on October 27, 2024 at 4:04 AM.

The crash occurred near 1902 S UNION AVE, on a one-way road. The posted speed limit was 30 mph. It was dark but with streetlights, the weather was clear, and the roadway was dry. The police report attributed the cause of the crash to failing to reduce speed to avoid a crash.
