One person killed, and six other people injured near 3200 W JACKSON BLVD in Garfield Park

A driver was killed after a Saturday night angle collision in Garfield Park on February 8, 2020 at 9:47 PM. 6 other people reportedly suffered non-incapacitating injuries.

The crash occurred near 3200 W JACKSON BLVD, at a four-way intersection. The posted speed limit was 30 mph. There was a traffic light.   • A 2007 Toyota was heading south and was hit in the front-left-corner. The driver, a 25-year-old woman, reportedly suffered non-incapacitating injuries; her airbag deployed. A 28-year-old male passenger reportedly suffered non-incapacitating injuries; his airbag deployed. A 5-year-old male passenger reportedly suffered non-incapacitating injuries; his airbag deployed.
  • A 2019 Chevrolet was heading north and was hit in the side-left. The driver, a 40-year-old woman, was killed; her airbag deployed. A 40-year-old male passenger reportedly suffered non-incapacitating injuries; his airbag deployed.

Police were notified at 9:47 PM and made a report on scene. This was the 319th injurious crash reported in February 2020, and the 1,528th injurious crash reported in 2020. It was the 12th fatal crash for 2020.
