One person killed near 7458 S HALSTED ST in Auburn Gresham

A driver was killed after a Sunday early morning hit-and-run turning collision in Auburn Gresham on August 3, 2025 at 12:16 AM.

The crash occurred near 7458 S HALSTED ST, on an undivided road. The posted speed limit was 30 mph. It was dark and the weather was clear. The police report attributed the cause of the crash to improper overtaking or passing.

There were two motor vehicles involved in the crash:

  • A 1984 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme was heading north while making a U-turn. The police report described the driver, an unknown age male, as attempting an improper turn. The police report did not have additional details about the driver, or his two passengers.
  • A 2002 Harley-Davidson was heading south and was hit in the total (all areas). The driver, a 54-year-old man, was wearing a non-DOT-compliant motorcycle helmet and was totally ejected; he was killed.
