Six people injured near 1234 W 115TH ST in Morgan Park

A sideswipe same direction collision occurred on Friday evening, March 13, 2026 at 5:30 PM in Morgan Park.

The crash occurred near 1234 W 115TH ST, on a divided road. The posted speed limit was 30 mph. The weather was clear and the roadway was dry. The police report attributed the cause of the crash to reckless, careless, or aggressive driving; and, secondarily, to traveling the wrong way or on the wrong side.

There were three motor vehicles involved in the crash:

• A 2017 Chevrolet Malibu was heading west and was hit in the side-left. The driver, a 47-year-old woman, was wearing a seat belt and her airbag deployed; she reportedly suffered unspecified injuries. A 9-year-old female passenger was wearing a seat belt and her airbag deployed; she reportedly suffered unspecified injuries. An 8-year-old female passenger was wearing a seat belt and her airbag deployed; she reportedly suffered unspecified injuries.
• A Nova BUS operated by the CTA was heading west and was hit in the side-left. The driver, a 61-year-old woman, was wearing a seat belt; she reportedly suffered unspecified injuries. Her two passengers reportedly suffered unspecified injuries.

There was one other vehicle involved but not being driven: A 2009 Toyota Camry, hit in the side-left.

Police were notified at 5:30 PM and made a report on scene. This was the 590th injurious crash reported in March 2026, and the 3,113th injurious crash reported in 2026.
