One person killed near 5300 S DORCHESTER AVE in Hyde Park

A driver was killed after a Thursday night angle collision in Hyde Park on August 7, 2025 at 10:00 PM.

The crash occurred near 5300 S DORCHESTER AVE, at a four-way intersection. The posted speed limit was 30 mph. There was a stop sign. It was dark but with streetlights, the weather was clear, and the roadway was dry. The police report attributed the cause of the crash to failing to yield right of way.

There were two motor vehicles involved in the crash:
