One pedestrian killed near 3945 W LAKE ST in Garfield Park

A pedestrian was killed after a Tuesday afternoon hit-and-run collision in Garfield Park on August 27, 2019 at 12:40 PM.

The crash occurred near 3945 W LAKE ST, on an undivided road. The posted speed limit was 30 mph. The weather was clear and the roadway was dry. The police report attributed the cause of the crash to driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs (an arrest was made).
