Two people killed, and three other people injured near 7500 S VINCENNES AVE in Grand Crossing

Two passengers were killed after a Friday night angle collision in Grand Crossing on October 17, 2025 at 9:30 PM. 3 other people reportedly suffered non-incapacitating injuries.

The crash occurred near 7500 S VINCENNES AVE, on a divided road. The posted speed limit was 30 mph. There was a traffic light. It was dark but with streetlights, the weather was clear, and the roadway was dry but reportedly had debris. The police report attributed the cause of the crash to failing to yield right of way; and, secondarily, to failing to reduce speed to avoid a crash.

There were two motor vehicles involved in the crash:

  • A 2014 Buick Regal was heading southwest. The police report described the driver, a 37-year-old woman, as failing to yield. Her airbag did not deploy; she was uninjured.
  • A 2020 Dodge was heading east. The driver, a 26-year-old man, reportedly suffered non-incapacitating injuries; his airbag deployed and he was trapped. An 18-year-old female passenger was killed; her airbag deployed and she was trapped. A 20-year-old male passenger was killed; his airbag deployed and he was trapped. A 15-year-old female passenger reportedly suffered non-incapacitating injuries; her airbag deployed and she was trapped. A 25-year-old female passenger reportedly suffered non-incapacitating injuries; her airbag deployed and she was trapped.

There was one other vehicle involved but not being driven: A 2005 Mercedes-Benz E320, hit in the rear.

Police were notified at 9:30 PM and made a report on scene. This was the 833rd injurious crash reported in October 2025, and the 14,569th injurious crash reported in 2025. It was the 63rd fatal crash for 2025.
