One person killed, one person severely injured near 1401 E 95TH ST in Pullman

A passenger was killed and another passenger was severely injured after a Saturday early morning collision with a fixed object in Pullman on March 23, 2019 at 3:23 AM.

The crash occurred near 1401 E 95TH ST, on an undivided road. The posted speed limit was 30 mph. It was dark but with streetlights, the weather was clear, and the roadway was dry. The police report attributed the cause of the crash to driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs (an arrest was made).

A 2014 Chevrolet Camaro was heading east. The police report described the driver, a 34-year-old man, as having been drinking. His airbag deployed; he was uninjured. A 32-year-old female passenger was killed; her airbag deployed and she was totally ejected. A 31-year-old female passenger reportedly suffered incapacitating injuries; her airbag deployed and she was totally ejected.

Police were notified at 3:40 AM and made a report on scene. This was the 888th injurious crash reported in March 2019, and the 3,009th injurious crash reported in 2019. It was the 20th fatal crash for 2019.
