One pedestrian killed, one pedestrian severely injured near 2000 S ASHLAND AVE in Lower West Side

A pedestrian was killed and another pedestrian was severely injured after a Saturday night hit-and-run collision in Lower West Side on July 19, 2025 at 11:19 PM.

The crash occurred near 2000 S ASHLAND AVE, at a four-way intersection. The posted speed limit was 30 mph. It was dark but with streetlights, the weather was clear, and the roadway was dry.
