Two people killed, and two other people injured near 3500 S MICHIGAN AVE in Douglas

A driver and a passenger were killed after a Monday early morning angle collision in Douglas on October 14, 2024 at 1:00 AM. One other person reportedly suffered non-incapacitating injuries.

The crash occurred near 3500 S MICHIGAN AVE, on an undivided road. The posted speed limit was 30 mph. There was a traffic light. It was dark, the weather was clear, and the roadway was dry. His airbag deployed; he reportedly suffered non-incapacitating injuries. An 18-year-old female passenger reportedly suffered unspecified injuries; her airbag deployed.
  • A 2023 Chevrolet was heading east and was hit in the rear-right-corner. The driver, a 45-year-old man, was killed; his airbag deployed. A 39-year-old female passenger was killed; her airbag deployed.

There was one other vehicle involved but not being driven: A 2019 Ford, hit in the rear-right-corner.
