One person killed, two people severely injured near 158 W ROOSEVELT RD in The Loop

A driver was killed and two passengers were severely injured after a Saturday early morning hit-and-run rear end collision in The Loop on September 14, 2024 at 2:13 AM.

The crash occurred near 158 W ROOSEVELT RD, on an undivided road. The posted speed limit was 30 mph. It was dark but with streetlights, the weather was clear, and the roadway was dry. The police report attributed the cause of the crash to reckless, careless, or aggressive driving.
