Three people severely injured, and three other people injured near 2355 W ADDISON ST in North Center

Two passengers and a driver were severely injured after a Sunday early morning angle collision in North Center on March 1, 2026 at 3:21 AM. 3 other people reportedly suffered non-incapacitating injuries.

The crash occurred near 2355 W ADDISON ST, at a four-way intersection. The posted speed limit was 30 mph. There was a traffic light. It was dark but with streetlights, the weather was clear, and the roadway was dry. The police report attributed the cause of the crash to failing to yield right of way; and, secondarily, to improper overtaking or passing.

There were three motor vehicles involved in the crash:

  • A 2023 Honda Civic was heading east. The police report described the driver, a 21-year-old man, as disregarding traffic controls/signals. His airbag deployed; he reportedly suffered incapacitating injuries. A 22-year-old male passenger reportedly suffered incapacitating injuries; his airbag deployed. An unknown age female passenger reportedly suffered incapacitating injuries; her airbag deployed.
  • A 2023 Toyota RAV4 was heading south and was hit in the front-right-corner. The driver, a 57-year-old man, was wearing a seat belt and his airbag deployed; he reportedly suffered non-incapacitating injuries. A 37-year-old male passenger reportedly suffered non-incapacitating injuries; his airbag deployed.
  • A 2024 Toyota Camry was heading north while slowing or stopping in traffic and was hit in the front. The driver, a 41-year-old woman, was wearing a seat belt and her airbag did not deploy; she reportedly suffered non-incapacitating injuries.

Police were notified at 3:23 AM and made a report on scene. This was the 6th injurious crash reported in March 2026, and the 2,529th injurious crash reported in 2026.
