One person killed, one person severely injured near 5305 S CICERO AVE in Garfield Ridge

A driver was killed and a passenger was severely injured after a Sunday early morning collision with a fixed object in Garfield Ridge on July 22, 2018 at 4:15 AM.

The crash occurred near 5305 S CICERO AVE, on a road divided by a median barrier. The posted speed limit was 30 mph. It was dark but with streetlights, the weather was clear, and the roadway was dry. The police report did not specify a cause for the crash.
