One person killed, two people severely injured near 8299 S STONY ISLAND AVE in Avalon Park

A passenger was killed; and a driver and another passenger were severely injured after a Saturday night hit-and-run turning collision in Avalon Park on January 23, 2021 at 11:30 PM.

The crash occurred near 8299 S STONY ISLAND AVE, on a divided road. The posted speed limit was 30 mph. There was a traffic light. It was dark, the weather was clear, and the roadway was dry. The police report did not specify a cause for the crash.
