One pedestrian killed near 8850 S COTTAGE GROVE AVE in Chatham

A pedestrian was killed after a Friday evening collision in Chatham on April 14, 2023 at 7:30 PM.

The crash occurred near 8850 S COTTAGE GROVE AVE, on a divided road. The posted speed limit was 30 mph. The weather was clear and the roadway was dry. The police report attributed the cause of the crash to distraction from inside the vehicle.
