One person killed near 4750 S PULASKI RD in Archer Heights
A driver was killed after a Wednesday early morning collision with a parked motor vehicle in Archer Heights on May 3, 2023 at 1:00 AM.
The crash occurred near 4750 S PULASKI RD, on a divided road. The posted speed limit was 35 mph. It was dark but with streetlights, the weather was clear, and the roadway was dry. The police report attributed the cause of the crash to a driver's physical condition; and, secondarily, to failing to reduce speed to avoid a crash.
A 2004 Honda Pilot was heading south. The police report described the driver, a 22-year-old man, as being under the influence of alcohol. His airbag deployed and he was totally ejected; he was killed.
