One person killed near 1600 S KEDVALE AVE in North Lawndale
A driver was killed after a Saturday afternoon angle collision in North Lawndale on September 14, 2019 at 3:53 PM.
The crash occurred near 1600 S KEDVALE AVE, at a four-way intersection. The posted speed limit was 20 mph. There was a stop sign. The weather was clear and the roadway was dry. The police report attributed the cause of the crash to failing to yield right of way; and, secondarily, to failing to reduce speed to avoid a crash.

- A 2009 Nissan Altima was heading north. The police report described the driver, a 42-year-old man, as failing to yield. He was wearing a seat belt and his airbag did not deploy; he was uninjured.
- A 2012 Harley-Davidson was heading west. The driver, a 65-year-old man, was not wearing a helmet and was totally ejected; he was killed.
Police were notified at 4:00 PM and made a report on scene. This was the 680th injurious crash reported in September 2019, and the 11,389th injurious crash reported in 2019. It was the 72nd fatal crash for 2019.
