A driver was killed after a Saturday early morning rear end collision in United Center on September 20, 2025 at 1:55 AM. One other person reportedly suffered non-incapacitating injuries.

- A 2020 Hyundai Sonata was heading east while slowing or stopping in traffic and was hit in the rear. The driver, a 30-year-old man, was killed; his airbag deployed.
Police were notified at 2:01 AM and made a report on scene. This was the 1,073rd injurious crash reported in September 2025, and the 13,174th injurious crash reported in 2025. It was the 60th fatal crash for 2025.
