One person killed, one person severely injured, and one other person injured near 1600 E 88TH ST in Calumet Heights

A driver was killed and a passenger was severely injured after a Tuesday evening angle collision in Calumet Heights on December 12, 2023 at 7:44 PM.

The crash occurred near 1600 E 88TH ST, at a four-way intersection. The posted speed limit was 35 mph. There was a stop sign. It was dark but with streetlights, the weather was clear, and the roadway was dry. The police report did not specify a cause for the crash.
