One person killed, and six other people injured near 8701 S WESTERN AVE in Beverly

A passenger was killed after a Tuesday morning turning collision in Beverly on March 19, 2024 at 11:00 AM. 6 other people reportedly suffered non-incapacitating injuries.

• A 2022 Hyundai Santa FE was heading north while slowing or stopping in traffic and was hit in the front. The driver, a 70-year-old man, was wearing a seat belt and his airbag did not deploy; he was uninjured.
• A 2010 Chrysler PT Cruiser was heading north while slowing or stopping in traffic and was hit in the side-left-rear. The driver, a 45-year-old woman, was wearing a seat belt and her airbag did not deploy; she reportedly suffered non-incapacitating injuries.

Police were notified at 11:00 AM and made a report on scene. This was the 859th injurious crash reported in March 2024, and the 3,239th injurious crash reported in 2024. It was the 19th fatal crash for 2024.
