One person killed, two people severely injured near 9357 S COLFAX AVE in Calumet Heights

A driver was killed and two passengers were severely injured after a Sunday morning hit-and-run angle collision in Calumet Heights on September 25, 2022 at 6:17 AM.

The crash occurred near 9357 S COLFAX AVE, on an undivided road. The posted speed limit was 30 mph. There was a stop sign. It was dawn, the weather was clear, and the roadway was dry. The police report attributed the cause of the crash to failing to yield right of way.

There were two motor vehicles involved in the crash:
