One person killed, one person severely injured near 2327 E 91ST ST in Calumet Heights
A driver was killed and a passenger was severely injured after a Tuesday early morning collision with a parked motor vehicle in Calumet Heights on December 24, 2019 at 1:50 AM.
The crash occurred near 2327 E 91ST ST, on an undivided road. The posted speed limit was 25 mph. It was dark but with streetlights, the weather was foggy, and the roadway was dry. The police report attributed the cause of the crash to reckless, careless, or aggressive driving; and, secondarily, to failing to reduce speed to avoid a crash.
A 2010 Dodge Charger was heading east. The police report described the driver, a 40-year-old man, as attempting to evade police. He was totally ejected; he was killed. A 28-year-old female passenger reportedly suffered incapacitating injuries; her airbag deployed.
There were three other vehicles involved but not being driven:

- A 2019 Nissan Rogue, hit in the rear-left.
